Sexually Transmitted Infections


STI's are a form of communicable disease. There are viral (virus) and Bacterial (bacteria) forms of STI. Explain the difference between the two.

Can you get an STI if…….

1. You withdraw the penis from the vagina before ejaculation?
2. You have sex in the shower, pool and ocean?

3. You have anal sex instead of vaginal sex?

What methods can be used to help prevent you catching at STI?

Depending on the type of infection you have, there are different methods of testing. Make a list and explain the various types of tests that can be given to you.

HIV/AIDS

Obviously, these are both horrible diseases but it is important to know that although they are often mentioned in the same sentence, they are NOT the same.
Please can you not only explain the difference between them but also discuss the symptoms that occur too.
