Drugs - Using the definition below, come up with your own understanding of the term 'drugs'

'A drug is any substance that when taken into the body changes the way it functions'.

Without using Google, list as many types of drugs as you can.

Reasons

Talking to the person next to you, discuss why people take these drugs, think about these coming from an emotion, social, financial, & physiological point of view too.

Drugs are sub-categorized into three types of classification - Depressants, Stimulants, & Hallucinogens. Match the three definitions below to the three types of classification.

A) - Changes perception of reality

B) - Slows down the way the body works

C) - Speeds up the way the body works

Drugs are also placed in 3 categories to distinguish their level of effect, harm, & seriousness. These three are simply A, B, & C.

Task

With the drugs that were discussed earlier in the class, I want you research what class of the drug they would fall into, the punishment if you are found in possession of the drug, and the punishment if they are found to be dealing the drug.
